Kenbridge Advanced Exploration Project (AEX)

  • In early 2023, Tartisan approached Nordmin Engineering Ltd., requesting assistance with project evaluation and planning.
  • Through our joint review we assessed that the project had considerable potential that would benefit from further definition of the resource.
  • The current infrastructure on site, most notably the 622 meter deep shaft, provides a very positive basis for further deep exploration of the resource.
  • Typically, sulfide-based Nickel deposits of this type can have very deep vertical extents, with offsets or parallel zones being fairly common.

First Nations

  • First Nations Agreement
  • Recognized by Ogichidaa

  • Company has been engaged with Treaty # 3 since May 2007. Recognized and is participating in Great Earth Law authorization process
  • Canadian Arrow Mines Limited (wholly owned subsidiary of Tartisan) received first ever Great Earth Law authorization for a resource company from Treaty # 3 Grand Council for the Kenbridge access road construction
  • Recognized by Ogichidaa (Grand Chief) as a leader in Aboriginal relations

Kenbridge AEX Project

  • Our assessment of the extents of the deposit as currently understood clearly indicated a strong potential for further expansion of the resource both along strike and down dip.
  • Tartisan is taking a progressive approach, completing an Advanced Exploration Project or AEX to complete deep drilling on the Kenbridge deposit.
  • This would be accomplished by dewatering the existing shaft and constructing temporary facilities to allow access to the underground workings.
  • A drilling campaign would then be carried out from the lowest level of the existing workings, providing a wealth of information and a strong potential for increasing the resource.
  • The Geology of the deposit demonstrates a clear potential for further expansion and drill intercepts below the current shaft have encountered good mineralization.
  • However, costs of drilling below 600 meters from surface are very high, and the efficiency of using the existing underground workings to both provide drill information as well as access to the orebody for testing and metallurgy would be very positive for the project.
The AEX approach is one that has been used on many other sites, including several currently underway across North America.
This provides ease of access to deeper resources for drilling and testing, while also providing an early start to future construction efforts after a positive project decision is made.
The project will involve constructing a temporary headframe and hoisting plant, dewatering the shaft and re-entering the former working levels for drilling.
